Professional construction timber you can rely on

Construction timber is the foundation of every durable wooden structure. Whether you are building a house, installing roof structures, or realising a bespoke architectural project, high-quality construction timber ensures long-term durability, structural stability and safety.

Construction timber is produced from softwoods such as pine and spruce. This is a deliberate choice, as these species are easy to process, lightweight, flexible, and offer good dimensional stability during drying.

Thanks to these properties, softwood timber is widely used for house building, timber frames, roof structures and other wooden constructions.

Not all construction timber is the same. Depending on project requirements, timber can be supplied as:

  • rough sawn,

  • planed / calibrated,

  • strength graded,

  • glued laminated (glulam).

Each processing method enhances the technical performance of the timber and makes it suitable for specific structural applications.

JSC Torgera provides cutting and timber preparation services for all required construction timber, serving both private and commercial clients. If you have a wooden construction project, contact us and we will supply all the timber needed for the complete execution of your project.

Planed (Calibrated) Timber

Planed timber is construction timber that has been precisely machined on all four sides using modern planing equipment. This ensures consistent dimensions and a high-quality surface finish.

Advantages of planed timber:

  • accurate and consistent dimensions,

  • faster and easier installation,

  • reduced material waste on site,

  • smooth surface for further finishing or treatment.

What Is Strength-Graded Timber?

Strength-graded timber is a category of planed timber that meets defined structural strength standards. Grading is marked with the letter C followed by a number (e.g. C16, C24), indicating the timber’s load-bearing capacity.

The higher the number, the greater the strength and the heavier the loads the timber can safely support.

Typical products:

boards, beams, rafters, joists, squared logs and other structural components manufactured according to project specifications.

Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam)

Glued laminated timber is a premium construction timber solution designed for long spans, high loads and exceptional dimensional stability. It is produced by bonding multiple layers of planed timber using durable, moisture-resistant structural adhesives. Why choose glulam timber: higher structural strength compared to solid timber, availability of longer spans and larger sections, reduced risk of warping, bending or shrinkage, versatile use for demanding structural applications. Production capabilities: maximum length: up to 13 metres, maximum beam dimensions: 200 × 400 × 7500 mm, custom manufacturing based on project requirements. Glulam timber is commonly used for beams in residential buildings, roof structures, terrace supports, saunas, pavilions and other constructions where long-term durability and visual quality are essential.

WHY CHOOSE TORGERA CONSTRUCTION TIMBER?

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION TIMBER?

The right choice depends on your project:

  • For standard timber framing, roof structures or floor joists, choose planed strength-graded timber (C16 or C24).

  • For large open spaces, long spans or load-bearing columns, glulam timber is the ideal solution.

  • For custom dimensions or technical requirements, contact us to discuss your project individually.

Not sure which option suits your project? Our team will gladly help you select the optimal solution.
